Does anybody know if this feature is still available (hidden) in the E71 or perhaps will be added later?

Now that the E71 (compared to E61i) has better Wifi support, having the group capbility makes more sense. And using Devicescape (support for complicated browser-based logins to commercial Wifi) makes it downright simple!

No, the feature isn't in S60v3FP1 phones unfortunately.

As an alternative you should try psiloc connect.

e61 had them ! The thing I miss the most from my old brick

The current version of Psiloc Connect works really well on the E71, you will find it's pretty easy to set up.

i use smart connect, for free, and i find it works very well once the settings are done correctly.
