E7 Power Saving - what does it mean?

The manual and the website both say "The device settings, such as Network mode and the screen saver, are optimised. " when you activate power saving.

What does this mean in plain English? Optimised how?

Network mode if set to "Dual" reverts to GSM to save power and device stops searching for WLAN so this icon disappears from screen also.

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.

That's it? Since I normally have wifi off, it doesn't make much difference.

You are lucky having a 3G signal as it can waste a lot of power switching between GSM & 3G in borderline reception area.
