E63: Why can't I adjust the main phone volume?

I just got my Nokia E63 today and nothing I do will let me lower the volume. The only thing I could change the volume for was the actual ringtone itself. I know you can also adjust the call volume in calls (or at least you're meant to be able to; haven't tried it yet), but how can I make the phone's general volume quieter? The message received tone and alarm sounds are WAY too loud. And I've tried holding down the Fn key and scrolling up and down (like it says in the manual). Even tried scrolling left and right. All that happens when I try is it brings up a white box for entering text.

Can anyone help me reduce my phone's volume?

The phone volume is adjusted from the Profiles and you can have different volume setups for the different profiles. Goto Profile and then select the profile followed by Options>Personalise. There you will find the volume and ringtone settings among others for that profile. Repeat the process for other profiles if necessary.
