Hi. Have you tried Support search for Nokia E63? If not, try it ... go to
- http://europe.nokia.com/support
- from Devices section select E63
- locate text box "Support search for Nokia E63"
- enter "no gateway reply" to that text box and select Go
... you should see link "I get 'no gateway reply' error message during WLAN connection. What can I do?"
There are plenty of things listed you can try ...
Cheers.

Do you have this problem with all Wi-Fi access points or some specific one? If with all, I'd suggest to reset the device and setup the access point(s) again.
Cheers.

To reset your device enter *#7370# in standby mode (and select Yes).
To setup a WLAN access point use either WLAN wizard (Menu > Connectivity > WLAN wiz.). Once WLAN network is found select Options > Define access point.
Or to manually setup access point go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Connection > Access points and there select Options > New access point. Select data bearer as Wireless LAN and set all other required settings.
Cheers.

The problem comes from your router and should be very simple to resolve.
Log into your router using the details you were given when purrchased..
You then need to change the channel.. Mine was on 1, changed this to 6 and no can access no problem.
If you are still having difficulties you need to contact your provider who will go through the router details.

The problem is not in the router, and even if it were, it wouldn't solve the problem of people like me trying to connect to public networks (where by definition you can't change the router's setup).
Anyway, in my case, my E63 works perfectly at home, but won't work in the office open wifi, despite the fact that my friend's E65 does.

i had this problem really bad with my new e63..im on sky..and neither nokia or sky could resolve the issue.
My wifi connection worked at uni and my cuosins..but not at home..so i dont know what was going on.. so just today i randomly decided to compre the router settings rather than the phone settings.. turned out uni had an open network, my cousins had a wep and i had a wpa-psk security type.
i changed this to wep and it started working fine! finally..im so happy..i thaught id post this..coz i know it was a HUGE let down..
so yh..myt not be your exact issue..but i used to be able to get to a site as soon as i connected..then about 2 seconds in - still connected but all i got was no gateway reply errors

Hi,
You may wish to check your router's settings. I believe e63 only accepts 2 DNS entries, and if your router has a third DNS setting, it may give this error.
I am using a Nokia e63 and a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. Previously the wifi was working fine until i reseted the WRT54G router, and started giving me "Gateway No Reply" messages.
Before the reset, I had only 2 DNS entries, after I reset the router, I keyed in a third DNS address. It keeps giving me "Gateway No Reply" messages, and after I removed the third DNS address from the router's configuration page, I am able to log onto the network now.

Hi,
I am having similar setup as yours i.e. Nokia E63 and Netgear Router (wgr614 v6). I have two HTC phones that work with this router happily plus three laptops that also connect without issue.
E63 is the first one that cant even detect this router... Could you please help me with settings for both router as well as phone?
my router settings are as:
Security: WEP
Auth: Automatic
Encrypt: 64 bit
Channel: 6
Mode: g and b
Please help me...

In my case this was a router issue. I went into my router settings and played around with stuff e63 was working fine before i did that. Computers worked fine afterwards however my e63 gave no gateway errors until i reset the router to factory defaults.

Just make sure that DHCP is enabled in the router. That did it for me!

Hi, I have just tried all of the above, but still no joy! I must admit the encryption has stayed WPA, but other than that?? What do I try now?

hey, i reset my belkin g router today and didnt apply a pasword until just before. i reset because my e63 kept saying 'no gateway reply' when i reset my phone was working fine on the internet WLAN until i put the password back on. it is a WPA/WPA2 security type (whatever that means).
does this mean that i cant use wifi unless i have no password?
thanks in advanced
