E61 and M4E

Hi

We have just had a delivery of our new nokia e61 mobiles for the company. I have downloaded mail for exchange 1.6.1 and installed it on one of the phones. I have setup the profile and everytime i try to connect I just keep getting a "invalid mail to exchange credentials" error. I have tried everything. I cannot even get to our company OWA page using the web browser on the device, but can access the page fine using a PC. I have already installed our CA certificates on the device. I have deleted and re-create the profiles countless times. I have also checked the Internet settings on the device and can confirm that there is not proxy settings on the device (provider is T Mobile UK) i have also tried this with MfE 1.3 but get the same error with that (however before i installed the certificates on the device, with version 1.3 i would get a "cetificate not trusted, do you wish to continue" message. i really dont know what could be wrong. My manager is using a Palm Treo 650 and he is syncing fine with the server.

Can anyone help me? most appreciated.

Re: E61 and M4E

Very odd, I have been using M4E for about 8 months (current version is 1.6.1) and have never experienced a single problem. Please post your configuration settings and i'll take a look.

Re: E61 and M4E

ok my mistake, i can get to the OWA login prompt using the browser on the phone. when i put in my username and password, i get a Authorisation failed message. I know im putting in the correct password. This happens when i connect via WiFi or T-Mobile Internet. I have checked on the browser settings and there is definately no Proxy being used for the T Mobile web. what configuration details do you need to know?

Thanks

On the off-chance - do you have spaces in your username or password?

Or any other extended characters?

Re: E61 and M4E

no spaces, but we do need special characters in our password. RoadSync is now also working fine. tested yesterday. But mail for exchange still keeps stating that the credentials are invalid.

Could you temporarily change the password to establish if that is the problem?

E65 AND SBS2003

Well that's fixed it for me got the certificate from go daddy.com, Installed it using Internet set up and then spent ages getting invalid logon credentials.

It seems that the phone does not like !"£$%^&*() special characters take these out of your password and it worked like a dream...

only took 2 weeks

Good to hear you are up and running.

I reported this to Nokia a while ago and suggested it should be put in the readme for MFE - not holding my breath

Re: E61 and M4E

Did you ever get this sorted because I have a Nokia E61i and an E65 that used to access exchange mail server without a problem. Now both phone report Authorisation Failed when I try to access email.
