so the E52 is getting more and more stable, yet the e55 (for which im impressed with) still has numerous bugs

1. typing the name in home screen to bring up the contact - sometimes doesnt call the person, but jsut returns to home screen
2. typing the name in home screen to bring up the contact - if you type in a business name the contact is never displayed (must only search first and last name)
3. predictive text - causes the phone to freeze (battery out to get it working again) if you ask it to cycle through some other words or mis-spelt words
4. gallery - slooow
5. remove the traveller service to conserve space on c:
6. memory leak somewhere that causes the c: slowly get consumed (have to restart phone to recover

lets have these bugs fixed and the new browser that the e52 is getting!

does seem stupid not to keep both the same

I agree, it's a shame. Never buy a Nokia again.

I bought Nokia over many other options because i thought they had good support for user requests and frequent firmware upgrades to correct bugs (some VERY annoying). User support is really good but unfortunately it seems that, at least for this phone (a business model!!!) software upgrades are completely absent! Strangely enough, E52 (only the keyboard is different?), has all the updates one would like... It should not be too complicated to line up these two firmwares... Please do not make me buy a non nokia phone in the future!

Maybe this is the reason why Nokia did not have so brilliant sales results lately? How do you think it will go in the near future?

Exactly. I think the E55 was EOL'ed before the warranty period was over. This is what happens to a company who thinks it's customers are the telcos.

I don't know, but perhaps they will understand that their customers are the primary resource
