hi nokia,
i am having some problems with my e52 typing sms in t9. I have been using t9 nokia for many years and many previous models, but the e52 seems to be unable to detect my typing fast enough. I am very sure that i press the keys with a definite click but sometimes its just cant detect when i type fast.
As a business phone it is important to have very smooth and efficient typing. It is the most important function 2nd to calling.
for e52 users u can do a test in T9 typing by like entering words like 963 for YOU fast (but ensure that u get a click out of button) most of the times only two characters appear.
Is this just my e52?
I hope that u can provide a firmware update for this.
thank you.

Not a problem for my E52. Have you installed any themes? If so delete them and see if it improves.

hi,
no themes or anything.
no 3rd part applications openned in back ground too. actually its not just t9, the normal typing(the multiple press typing) when typed real fast also seems to be unable to catch up.
previous i was using some s40 low end nokia phone and never had such problem.
I mean i type really fast.

this shows that i am not the only one..
the reason i bought e52 was becaucase i thought as a E series phone basic phone functions like texting should be the best of all.
How can the lower end series of nokia type more smoothly than this?
Hope nokia release some firmware to fix it, otherwise i might sell my e52...

hi nokia, any ideas on this situation? its really a bit annoying for someone who text a lot or send emails as part of their business requirements.
Hope to get a reply or AT LEAST, let us know is this a problem specific to e52 or its ALL symbian s60v3.

I have the same problem. Are there any software updates that can remedy this issue?

See if the (forgive me i don't exactly know the correct english word) text prediction is off.
I had it on and it caused a great deal of lag. When i turned it off the typing lag was gone.
