E52 software update 053.001 calendar entries problems

Hello,

 

I just got an software update via my Ovi suite. It installed software version 053.001, dated 29.Nov.2010.

 

From this time on I cannot see any letters while typing in new calendar entries. I found this issue (now) in some discussions - mainly with software version 052 - but no solutions for this.

 

What can be done to solve this? - The calendar function is quite essential for me!

Is there a possibility to downgrade to an older software version?

There is a newer update.. 54.003.

 

This one seems to have rectified the issue.. at least in my phone.

Thanks for this info. But how do I get this? It's not available through Ovi suite neither with nokia software updater.

 

I always get the answer the acutal software version would be 053.001.

 

And what about the dicussion that name and number of sms sender are no longer displayed?

check for duplicate entries of contact. this might be one of the reasons for name not being displayed in SMS / Calls :smileyhappy:
