[e52lock]

My E52 has proble. After enanled function phone auto lock period 30 mins, I could not disable it. When i goto phone autolock period, change, select NONE, then it appeared error: phone unable to unlock.

I tried factory reset and reinstall software but still can not change. I have to enter lock code after every 30 mins phone unuse.

Anyone can help to fix it?

My friend has same problem. You can only put there 30 minutes or less auto lock time and it cannot be removed. Hello Nokia! How to remove autolock! You cannot even find the instructions from Finnish manuals.

I installed Exchange just to try it, it forced me to use the auto lock code, I removed Exchange but I cannot remove the auto lock!

I can put up to 360 minutes which is better than 30, any way...

I also installed a mail box with exchange & got stuck with the autolock. I cannot remove it and cannot extend the period either.

I have same problem with auto-lock of keypad. By accident, I unfortunatedly installed the auto-lock function and now I cannot change it to anything else than 5min. When I try to disable the function, it says 'The telephone cannot be unlocked'. I even cannot change the timeout to anything else than 5min.

This is VERY VERY annoying. making the phone practically useless. Please, Nokia... Give some supprt to solve this issue ASAP.

Did any of you get a solution to this ridiculous problem. I used email exchange and it activated the autolock which I cannot turn off.

Hii all,update your firmware...current firmware version is "52.003"....No problems found....

I had the same problem after I install new firmware 054.003. And now i have to re-install again...

I found this solution on Blog Hanzz, and it is working

Menu - cntrl. panel - settings - general - security - phone and SIM card - phone autolock period

The error was: Unable to change period

To remove it, I did the following:

Go to: Cntrl. panel - Phone - Encryption - Phone memory and switch setting to ON

Reboot Phone (do not know if this is necessary), go back to Phone memory and switch it to OFF

Now you can change the autolock period to None:-)
