E52 firmware update has removed very useful clock function

When the E52 keypad was locked, I found out that pressing down on the multi directional key, the time was displayed white on black. So it was possible to see the time without unlocking the phone. This was particularly useful at night time. Now having install the latest firmware update to Software version 031.012 and Custom version 031.012.202.01 I now just get Press 'Unlock' to activate keypad.

Why has this been removed?

Is there some set up to get it back?

Was it a known feature previously?

 

Can the next firmware update please restore this feature.

Same FW but it works for me.

Reset the E52. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings.
