Re: E52 during the call voice bad quality

This problem is caused by a bug/bad written FW for the E52 telephone.

The telephone has accually 2 microphones that makes it possible to reduce noise.

But the problem is that it caused alot of other problems souch as when you talk it sounds

like if you were very far away or in a jar.

After FW 022.009 this problem should be solved.

So the solution is to upgrade your FW.

Re: E52 during the call voice bad quality

How depressing to find this lengthy thread AFTER spending £200 on this phone.

People taking calls from me started complaining about my voice being distant or quiet and then they heard nothing at all when I called in the usual way.  Have tried numerous re-boots, restore factory settings etc without success.  I can only call on the headset so I assume it is related to the noise cancelling dual mic set up.  The phone is only 2 weeks old and Nokia's reputation has plummeted in my eyes.

Can anyone out there help please?

I'm not sure how to say it without using dirty language. Upgrade to latest firmware 034.001 improve call quality but not in all cases. Simply, no more Nokia, Nokia *bleep*...

Re: E52 during the call voice bad quality

Hi. I have an E55 - it is quite the same as E52, as far as I know.

I am quite satisfied with the phone but the persons I am talking to, are not... :smileysad:

Sometimes (very often, in fact) they hear an echo of their voices during the voice calls. I have the latest FW installed (034.001) but still no improvement...

My wife does not want to talk to me by phone anymore (which is not quite bad, hi-hi :smileywink:) - but to be serious it is quite annoying.

Any ideas? If I know the right place of the second microphone I could close it with a finger during calls, for example... :smileysurprised:

Thanks a lot.

Re: E52 during the call voice bad quality

Same problem; my new E52 works fine but almost all callers report severe echo.

I have the latest firmware (january 2011)

Rebooting sometimes helps.

This is very frustrating.

Nokia, please solve this issue for this Nokia fan!
