I just got myself a E52, was very surprised to see a 1GB Card in such a great phone. (Is this 2005??? ... 1 GB Card......)
Anyways, here is my main question. I want to change this card to 8GB.
I already have got the 8GB MicroSDHC card, but not sure how this will work.
There is Maps Data about 500 MB, and other files....if i simply copy the contents of one card to other.. will it work?

BACK UP EVERYTHING USING PC SUITE. REMOVE OLD MEMORY CARD. THEN INSERT NEW MEMORY CARD. THEN RESTORE ALL USING PC SUITE AGAIN.

E52 supports SDHC technology. Therefore, you can use the 8GB card.
Copying the map data would work, provided you copy everything.
What I would recommend is, backup the contents of the old memory card to your PC, then insert your new card into the phone and format it from the phone. Then connect the phone in Mass storage mode. Copy everything from the PC to the new card.

I upgraded my 1 GB factory card (Kind of a joke to send the phone with a 1 GB card as already pointed, but nevermind) to a 4 GB SDHC. What i did: First copying ALL data from the factory card to the computer, inserted the 4 GB card into the phone (the phone did not ask to format or anything, as it were already preformated) and then copied ALL data from the PC (The data from the factory card) to the phone. That worked flawless.

I had a 4gb card on my e52, I got a 8gb. I inserted the 8gb card, let the phone write its default files to the 8gb card. Then removed it and over wrote everything form the 4gb card onto the 8gb. Every thing worked just fine.
Yes it is a joke that nokia ships 1gb card with the e52, i have a feeling nokia will push this phone to the back burner. and it has the same functionality as the E72. Nokia why???

My memory card just crashed and I just replaced it with an 8gb card. But as expected all the data in the memory card is gone, since it's a new card. Any idea how I can get the default programs back? Will a firmware update update the phone and memory card?
