Re: E5

Don't fully understand the question, but , yes if you buy a phone on a pay as you go /prepaid sim only deal you will be able to use it for any purpose you wish, as long as the airyime sevice provider su[[orts the function you want to usse  !  As for Ovi maps, yes you will be able to use it with any Nokia Phone, however if this is a data  related issue, you will be able to use ovi maps  without a data connection, as long as you pre-load map data for the area you wish to navigate through !

Re: E5

Okay,

So I do not need a contract with a telephone company with a internet flat rate to use the gps.

As the phone has wlan, I can go online through the wlan wifi, instead of using the simcard/ telephone company.

But can you download the maps for ovi gps through a pc and upload it online for an entire country, or do I need to install every time I want to drive to a new destination a new map to the phone? (if i dont want to go online with the phone)

Re: E5

If you use Ovi Suite on your computer, you can connect the phone via usb, and download all available world maps and voice guidance files,  and install them on your phone via the computer :smileyhappy: You can then use them to navigate 'off line'
