I purchased Nokia E7 two days back and found the battery discharged even it is not in use. I charged completely but after some times its signal showing battery low. Can any body help me to know the reason and how it will keep battery charged.
Thanks & Best regards,

The battery life on my E7 is pretty poor, especially when running lots of applications or 'live' widgets, try what Fender suggests, but depending on what you're comparing it with, a Smatphone with a 4" screen is not going to last much more than a day even with light use, there are several threads on battery optimization on the forum. I just charge mine fully over night every night and top up at work as necessarry !
Good Luck

If you charged the phone overnight and it discharged in an hour, it is faulty and requires replacement !
Send it back !!

I had the same experience and realied that it was Whatsapp that was draining the battery.
Apparently there are sill some background processes even after you kill whatsapp that is running before.
Kind of had it resolved when I switched to using GSM instead of 3G connection.
Was hence able to run whatsapp without draining the battery.
These days my battery can last for more than a day.
Hope this helps.

Wow, 1-2hrs discharge is a guzzler.
Mine was about 4hours, before whatsapp did the software update.
I don't go on 3G anymore after the update so I'm not too sure if it lasts a bit longer.
In fact my battery lasts better after I switched to GSM full-time so that might be a factor bundled with whatsapp.

Hi
I got E7 10 days bafore. Im on 3g, 2 emails account that sinc every 30 min. For that im using wireless, not gprs (not configured, only wireless for internet). It takes 2-3 days to discharged, depending on that if Im using other apps or not.
This weekend used sports-tracker during my bike ride. It takes less than 2 day to discharg.
My battery looks ok?
Compare with ur it is. What others can say?
Baterry should not be fully discharget when you purchased it. Maybe to compare call duration in your log with life timer u got with code *#92702689#. If you did not reset ur log.
