Does anyone know whether the Nokia E71 can be configured to use both the Outlook and Gmail? So far I conifgured my work's outlook email account with the use of the Mail for Exchange however I would also like to easily read gmail emails in the same way rather than every time having to go to gmail website.

Go to Menu > comm > messaging > optons > settings > email > options > new mailbox.

From tere all you have to do is key in your user name and password the phone will configre the Gmail account automatically.

Hi thanks for your post.  I did as you said and configured gmail, however when I try to connect to mailbox gmail it says Email: unable to connect to email server.

Do you have a clue what this can be?

Make sure that port forwarding is activated in you Gmail account. You will find this in the Gmail options

How about having the Nokia Messaging client handle MFE e-mail?  Can this be done?  I haven't been able to figure out how to do this.  Te new Nokia Messaging client (with HTML support) is very nice so being able to use it for viewing/sending e-mail would be great.

How about using Mfe for you corporate exchange, and the applet from google for your gmail..  to download, go to http://m.google.com on your phone.. (the downside is that you need to make sure that gmail applet is running in the background whenever you restart your phone)..
