Contacts sort order after updating to firmware 051.018 - Nokia E52

I am just after updating my E52 with 051.018 Firmware. Before firmware update I done my contacts like this: 01 Val, 02 John, 03 Dad etc... so that when I selected contacts the numbers I most used/dialled come up at the top of the list but now after updating my firmware the contacts at the top of the list are those starting with A  - I have tried going into settings and choosing the order of first name last name but its still the same. I suppose a workaround would be to edit my contacts so that 01 Val becomes AA Val and 02 john becomes AB John but I would really like to keep them as before I updated the firmware if anyone knows a solution.
