Hey do you guys have the problem of not being able to silent your phone by holding on to the ctrl button?

The ppl from starhub(Singapore) told me that its a software issue and that the problem will be resolved as soon as I update my software but it still doesn't work!

Did you try to ctrl+c and ctrl+v to copy paste while writing a message to see the ctrl button is actually works?

yes i did! my ctrl key works perfectly. the onli prob is that it can't slient the phone..

Not sure what's the problem, but you could try the following:
Factory Reset : *#7370# or Soft Reset: *#7780# with default Security Code: 12345. Make sure to backup all data first since it will be deleted during the process.

how do you mean silent your phone?
last time i checked to put a phone in silent profile mode, if that is what you mean, you "press and hold" the hash "#" key

On E72, Ctrl button at most bottom-right position has silent sign and it can be used to switch from Any Profile to Silent then from Silent to General profile if you press and hold Ctrl
