I just tried it again, created an account, disconnected all connections and deleted it as described above
"Menue" ---> "Control Pannel" ---> "Settings" ---> "General" ---> "Email" ---> go to the mailbox you want to delete withOUT clicking it --->"Options" ---> "remove mailbox".
The E75 is really a disaster

Dear all,
I'm having exact the same problem. I find out that the problem comes from creating new e-mail accounts, following the steps of setup E-mail wizard until reaching page of selecting "Yes" (....use existing account) instead of "No" (....create new account separately).
For example:
1. Menu - - - 2. E-mail - - - 3. New - - - 4. start
5. E-mail account: ???????? - - - -
6. Password: ???????????? - - -
7. Selecting between "Yes" (...use exisiting account) or "No" (....create new account separately)
If you select "Yes", you will be not able to remove or delete that new e-mail account and the previous one. On the other hand, if you select "No", you can remove or delete them all.
Now, I have 2 e-mail accounts remaining, which cannot be removed. I'm waiting for technician to answer this case.

I have the same problem.
I have 2 mailboxes.
Suddenly they stopped receiving new emails.
I wanted to delete them, but this is not possible. The screen says: "Deleting mailbox" but this takes forever.
I have reset to Factory Settings.
After that I don't see the mailboxes in the frontscreen anymore, but they still exist.
What can I do to get rid of them and create new ones that are able to receive emails?

It is never a bad idea to have the latest software on the phone, but this issue is still not solved. It is honestly getting ridiculous now.......if you cannot connect to your mailbox, you just cannot delete it.

Open "Settings"
Select "Gmail" or another mailbox
Select "Options"
Select "Delete Mailbox"
Select "Ok"
I hope that help you. GL!

Since nearly two years the discussion goes on now. Hillogy is right, but archravi unfortunately too. You can NOT delete it when you do not have connection to your mailbox. And if you are not able to connect for whatever reason, then you cannot delete it. But not even the latest software upgrade resolved this issue. It was just not fixed or taken care of.

Hi, the following procedure worked on my Nokia E5:
"and here is the solution----
there is nokia messaging service which runs in the background and on top of this your NON exchange inboxes runs e.g gmail, yahoo.hotmail etc, it will be in menu->office->email->settings->select ur gmail->account setting-> acount information put your email adress and password, server name as: em1x-70.ihr.messaging.nokia.com(depending on the location where you live, min eis asai pacific) or you can get from https://email.nokia.com/ . if this messaging account is not able to run for any reason your NON excahnge mail inboxes will not work so you can assume this messaging service as carrier of all your mail boxes.
you can go to email.nokia.com and folow the steps to see your problem gets resolved at least for me it worked...
cheers
