I am thinking about getting an E7 when it is released. But the one major problem that I have always had with Nokia phones is the short call history. It only holds the 10 or 20 last calls. I need it to hold at least the history for the last 100-200 calls, or the last 30 days. I make dozens of calls every day and often I find myself needing to call that guy I spoke to 2 weeks ago whose number I only have in the call log. 

This works very well on iPhone and Android. What about the newer Nokia smartphones? The N97 also had a very short call log. I sold my E90 just for the reason of the short call log. I sold my N97 because it was a lousy phone. I hope that the E7 will be better because it seems like it will be a very good phone.

At least for S60, calls for thirty days are held in the Call Log. The Recent Calls is but an abbreviated version of this.
