Breathing light E71

I have read all the previous posts on the E71 breathing light. I have no option but notification light on or off. It still breathes. Do I have any choice here to turn it off? I have a fairly new phone <6 months.

the option to turn the breathing light on and off can be found in the profile settings

 

go to menu > tools > profiles > select a profile > options > personalise > breathing light

Unfortunately, AT&T (villains) has apparently hamstrung the firmware on the e71x.  There is no breathing light param under profiles that I've been able to find.  Anyone successfully turn off the light on an e71x?
