It's not a question but I would like to suggest this game applcation called SymbiMaze that uses the acccelerometer feature of E52 and E72 and other new Nokia series phone
http://symbimaze.sourceforge.net/
At least now we could confirm that the accelerometer is working as it should.

I have taken flak from the sort of people whom I would imagine would utilise their phones for such inane software - btw is there anything more meaningless than inane? - those who know the answer will like this game

Please Post more of such links, if it is not possible to post such links due to certain reasons, post the name of such applications and we could Google it.
Thank you very much.

Great! ![]()
My children loved the similar game on Win Mobile!
The only thing that would do this "inane" game better: Option to rotate to fit the screen of my E72.

Iám using : Sports Tracker, Rock-N-Scroll, nAlertMe, Light Sabre, Punch O Meter, Dice Box (game)

Some people might be wondering how to see if their accelerometer is working perfectly. The only way to see this is to install one of those games. Ovi map used to rotate but not anymore I believe.

Indeed it works fine with the E72.
Another nice game that works great is Edge. You can get it for free at the ovi store.
It uses the accelerometer and vibration effects for an overall interesting result.

Thanks for the links.
I'll add to the above: Nokia Step Counter (the simpler version of Sports Tracker, I think).
Also Resco Bubbles. http://www.resco.net/games/symbian/download.aspx
There's also a Resco Defender, not sure if this is another game that uses the accelerometer since I haven't tried it yet.
But the downside with Resco Bubbles (it says time-limited version, but I find it hard to play because of 2 things: it seems to be very senstive, and also it's oriented perpendicularly for the E72. (ie. when you tilt the phone so that it's suppose to be up/down, the bubble moves left/right instead. And when you title the phone left/right, the bubble moves up/down instead. Incorrect orientation.)

Not compatible with the E72 however, even though it's in Ovi Store for E72. The display isn't suited for landscape and the keys don't work if I remember correctly when I last tried it. Also it's now coming up as a pay app when I try to reinstall it.

Iám searching for application for level adjusment . I found Magic Level and pyPoziomica, but they don't work on my E52's?

You have to activate the compass now in Ovi Map using the '5' key, and you need to calibrate it by waving the phone about in various directions until the compass goes green, then the map will rotate.
There's also a separate 'GPS Data' app on the E72 at least which has a compass though I've not got it working.
Not sure if the compass stuff uses the accelerometer or something else (I've read 'magnetometer', but maybe it's the same thing).
P.S. There's an app called NorthPole which is basically a compass also. Not tried it.

I think the accelerometer (orientation sensor) and the magnetometer (digital compass) are 2 different things in the E72.
One senses the orientation whereas one detects the north pole (magnet).
For checking the map orientation, aside from the free NorthPole app there's also the N97Compass which works similarly. I prefer the N97Compass since it doesn't require you to do the pre-requisite "Calibrate" first before it will work. Granted, when you don't calibrate while using the N97Compass, it will attempt to find the North pole but will say "signal: bad" until you calibrate. ;-)
The EDGE game seems to work well on my E72. Although the screen does seem small for this game. I think it isn't directly downloadable to the E72. I had to select another cellphone from the Ovi Store (from PC web browser) and then "send to friend's cellphone #" (my number) and open it with my E72 before the app gets downloaded.
