ALLWAYSONLINESTARTER.exe. What is it?

What is this process?

I've had my E71 since last week and a bit concerned about the battery life as im not getting more than about a day and a half out of each charge.

I've turned off the usual, not using it heavily and not using push etc.

Ive installed a task manager program and its showing the above as running. I was wondering if it should be there and what its doing.

Thanks for any help.

Dave.

Hi dave_bass5

It should be there and with surplus RAM on newer phones is not an issue here. What firmware version is your E71 running, key in *#0000# on standby screen?

Ah ok, thanks.

Im on 110.07.127 on O2.

I guess I'm getting about 1 and a half days so far but that's light usage and I'm not impressed. I would say its worse than my N95 8G but im hoping it will improve with a few charges.

Hi dave_bass5

Generic SIM free are using v200.21.118 so O2 has a way to go unfortunately.

Re: ALLWAYSONLINESTARTER.exe. What is it?

Thanks.

That's the same situation I had with my N95 8G. I changed the product code on that and got the latest firmware.

Thing is when the phone went wrong both Carphone warehouse and Nokia themselves refused to help so ill hold off on doing that for a while.

Am i right in thinking a lot of people say the version im on is better anyway (or less bugs)?

Hi

You're right in some respects as only just got my "." back on keyboard in latest version rather than having to access through "Extra symbols"!:smileymad:
