I use a Nokia 9300 and have a Gmail account but I cannot seem to receive mails - sending is kewl but when trying to retrieve I get an error (timeout error).Any antidotes

Normally when you get this error its unable to log on to the external incoming mail server. How to change. Press messaging, menu tools , account settings, edit the gmail account. Make sure that under services you have pop3 activated instead of IMAP4. and then play around with the incoming mail server settings for instance. pop.gmail.com, pop3.gmail.com. Should sort out the problem.

ummmmmm, you also need to ensure you set gmail up for pop access first....
