9300i WirelessLan Connection Problems

Hello,
I am having trouble connecting to my house wireless connection. I can find the access point on HotSpot and through the connections folder but I cannot access the connection or connect to it at all. It just says
"WLAN: Connection failed. Could not find WLAN network."
Could anyone give me some tips on how to fix this?

My e-mail is also not working.

I know this is all very vague but if there are some very common problems and answers I would like to try them all out.

Check the security settings on your Wireless network: maybe you have MAC filtering enabled and the MAC address of your 9300i is not in the accepted list.
