anyone any idea what SUPL positioning means? I found this as an option in one of the menus but, surprise surprise! there is no mention of it in the "user manual" ! Is this GPS of some desctipion like other nokias have?

SUPL helps to find the GPS location faster by using Internet connection to help to GPS process.

supl is the positioning server used to find location while using GPS.

ah, so this phone ( C3-01) has GPS? I thought it wasnt on this model?
Any instructions I can download to find out how to work it?

Where did you see this in the Menu?  I have never seen it and I thought I had been through all the menu items.

atleast according Nokia's own web pages it does not have GPS

damned if i can find it now! I DEFFO did see it tho while playing about! I agree with next post tho in that I also read this phone does not have GPS. My last phone ( 6700 - great phone tho!) said it did but it wasnt possible to make any use from it as it took about 30 mins to get a position! LOL!
( my Audi car GPS is 12 years old & gets a position within 5 seconds!)
So for that reason Im really not bothered even if it DOES have GPS - was just wondering what this meant.

SUPL positioning is available in personal config settings menu under config setting but my ques is why give it in settings if the phone isn't gps enabled?
