To be true I never expected this from Nokia.Just within 5 days from the day of purchasing what i come to know that my  Nokia C6 stop responding after i lock the screen with the slider button on the right side.This started from the day I purchased. First I thought may be its my mistake but this happened quite frequently. I have no option bu to remove the battery to get phone functional again.This happens 3-4 times a day as soon as I lock the screen. Does this happens to anyone else or its just unlucky me.I appreciate response from the Nokia officials if any over here and help me to solve my problem. Please help me!

I bought Nokia C6 two days back. Even it hangs out quite a bit. 5-6 times a day. And every time I have to remove and insert the batter. Let me know how to get rid of this problem.

I bought it fromTurkey two days ago.Ihave same promlem as you.but the real problem it just hangs when the phone locked from calling no answer or massages.When my phone hang ı can call my phone it rings but ı cant hear my c6 s sound.

Hi. I have exactly the same problem but it took about a month before it started doing it. Really annoying. Sometimes it freezes up completely e.g. when i get a text message or just by tapping the screen a bit too carelessly. The only way to get it running again is to remove the battery. I've tride everything that comes to my mind to get rid of this. Software and firmware update, but there's no updates available at the moment (in Finland), soft reset etc. But it just keeps hanging. I really hope they get a fix for this soon because in this condition the phone is pretty much a brick.

boss, m also facing tha same problem, i have placed back my c6 in box nd using my old sony ericsson phone, nokia care team is nt able to sort out this problem of hanging and automatically switchoff.

Be honest i already using nokia C6 for around 2 week but never hang just the only problem i have is a "slow loading in image" when open...Plus my C6 only have 2 gb memory n me only used 1gb and left 1gb.So the main problem could be memory card problem?Like PC if your hard disc full your PC like hang a bit some time....??

Where did you buy your c6? maybe it is only on some country it is happening.

If this is a firmware's specific country variant bug, then we can reflash it with another country firmware for a while before reverting back.

I purchased C6 in 13,400 with a hope that I wold happily use but it keeps hanging. Nokia people should repalce it immediately.

Nokia respond immediately, it is a question of your prestige and a metter of concern as far as so many consumers in India and abroad are concerned.
it should not be laitos ( an employee who keeps responding without taking any responsibility) some senior authorised person should respond to consumers'grievances.....

you can all try to hard reset your device in order to fix this bugs.. but make sure you back up all your files before performing a hard reset... my phone is C3 and i also encountered the same problem.. hoping that it will also be the same for C6..

Even I am facing the same problem..The cell freezes after sometime. It happens 2-3 times a day. This is absolutely ridiculous.Never expected from Nokia such kind of failure model. Nokia has to do something immediately to regain the confidence of it's customers otherwise people will start switching to other companies. I was having so much confidence in Nokia but after this, I say never to Nokia

hi dere ..... had d hanging problem wid c6 ....... went straight to nokia care ... they said that they are swapping my old handset for a new one ... lets hope dis one turns out fine .......

I guesss u people shud visit nokia care and get ur handsets swapped for new ones .....

didnt expect dis from nokia .....the craze for d new phone died

Same here... I was using nokia from 3210 model years ago till now. I bought two c6 for me and my wife... both phones freezes 2-3 times a day sometimes even more!

Folks,

Nokia has issued an advisory/ document to all its Nokia Care points in India & China today. So, if you are leaving in this region - head to the nearest Noka Care point starting tomorrow.

For rest of the regions, Nokia team is working on the release of instructions to Nokia Care points.

I am also facing the same problem for past 5 days...
i am using nokia nearly 8months.

but past one week its hang, touch pad not working and so on....

its really irritating me...

and mobile producing too much heat also...

i don't know why the hell problem of this...

whenever i am giving some problem to nokia service center

they are just installing the s/w

they are not checking for the errors and problem...

@ ALL
update your phones with latest v40 firmware!!! If it is not available to you over the air or OVI suite you thave CARRIER specific and branded model, then go to nearest Nokia Care Center and demand to be given latest and NEUTRAL firmware for C6-00!! Hope it helps
