I submitted a wrong password for a wifi connection. From now on everytime I try to connect I just get- The authentication of WPA is wrong. How do I get my Nokia c5 to ask me again to retype it? I tried the settings of internet connection but I really cannot find it.
It would be really heplful for me to know.
I am really looking forward to get it solved.
Thank you in advanced!
And yes, next time I type something, I am gonna be more careful ![]()

Can you delete the WiFi Access Point ? If so, delete and Re-configure..

Hi Micmare,
Thank you for your first post and welcome to the Nokia discussion forums.
Trust me Micmare your not the only to enter the key wrong, I've entered it wrong many a time so nothing to worry about! ![]()
As Farby has said best way around this is to delete the access point and start again. To do this go into the menu - settings - connectivity - destinations - internet. From here hold down the access point you wish to delete. This will bring up a pop up with some options and from here select delete. Once you have done this search again for the access point, enter the key carefully
and reconnect.
Let me know if this helps. If it does then please mark it as solution in case any one else has a similar issue they will then know how to resolve.

Presumably its Nokia C5-03..Go to Menu-->Settings-->Connectivity-->Destinations.. Select the WLAN Access Point and in Options.. select Delete..Then try re-setting it from the scratch..

Thank you all but the thing is there is no option to delete the acces point for my C5-03 as it also says in the help desk. What to do now? Any alternative?

Hi Micmare,
It should be there as I have tested it myself. Once again to remove the access point go into settings - connectivity - destinations - Internet . This should then show the access points you have configured. Then using the touchscreen highlight ( when its highlighted it should go green) touch and hold down the access point you wish to delete for a few seconds.
This should bring up a pop up on the screen with 4 options rename, delete, move to other dest. and copy to other dest. From here select delete.
If for some reason this isn't happening then if all you've done is enter the incorrect key you can edit this. From the same menu as above instead of holding down the the access point if you simply just touch the access point you wish to edit this will take you to a new menu with various options. On the touch screen again select WLAN security settings and then pre shared key. From here you will be able to edit the security key.
Give this a go and let me know if it helps.
If it does then please by all means mark it as solved.
Regards
Raoul

Thank you for the specification! After that I was able to erase the acces points.
But even after I added it again it still says- WPA authentification failed.
Obviously, it still has the old password data.
What to do now?

Could try deleting access point then restart phone before trying to set up access point again.

May be you have to go for a Soft Reset by dialing *#7370# followed by the Security Code (Default is 12345 unless changed by you..) Be warned that this will erase all data from the Phone memory..so Back-up the data before doing this. you will need to restore the data and MAY have to re-install a few applications after that..

Do not use special characters (@#}?/-| etc...) for your WPA passphrase.
