usb data cable for nokia N1200 Series.Does it works with Nokia 1680 classic

I am using nokia 1200 data cable and its not connecting to my nokia 1680 classic phone. I have installed the latest nokia pc suite but still it cant detect the phone.

Shall I have to install any driver of the data cable or what should I do to connect to my nokia 1680 classic phone?
I have the usb data cable for nokia N1200 Series.Does it works with Nokia 1680 classic and what driver should I use and install ?

Hi,

Have you checked the Connectivity? If the device connects on wrong type of usb connection, the PC Suite cannot access the device.

Choose Settings>Connectivity>USB data cable> PC Suite from your handheld.

Should work, if the menu-line is correct. I'm running a 5310 on S40 with firmware version 05.81.

The 1680 has no user connectivity via USB. The USB port present is only for use by service personnel.
