problem with Nokia one touch access and Vista SP1

I have Windows Vista SP1,latest PC Suite 7.1.51.0 ,N70 phone. I want to use my phone as a modem, but after Windows upgraded to SP1 clicking the connect button in One Touch Access results in immediate disconnect message. I tried reinstalling PC Suite 6.0 from the CD I got with the phone and finally upgraded to 7.1.18.0 but the problem still occurs. Any solution to this?

Re: problem with Nokia one touch access and Vista SP1

I was having the same problem, but I found a solution on another discussion board. Whilst your phone is plugged in and connected to the PC Suite, go to Control Panel, Phone and Modem options. Remove your phone modem.  Then I disconnected the phone, restarted the computer and then connected the phone up again.  The computer installed the phone as new hardware and now its all working fine again!!

Hope that makes sense and hope it works for you.
