By the way I also tried several other micro sd cards with nokia c1-02 and same problem.
So I think the c1-02 supports micro usb 1.1 instead of 2.0
I have my consolation to those who get 16 or 32GB cards since it'll take years to copy(I was thinking of getting one but now I'm content with this 4GB one till this problem gets resolved).
Please update the software to remove this bug. It's very annoying.
And also mention the micro usb version that the phone supports in the specifications page so that we wont waste our money buying a class2,4,6 micro sd card since all cards will only have a speed of 0.8MB/s

I updated to the latest firmware 5.40. The notes said that it improves memory card speed. That is the only reason I installed it;. But sadly it didn't do anything significant. Speed still remains capped at 0.8 MB/s and windows still says your device can perform faster.
There is only one explanation to this. That Nokia c1-02 supports only micro usb 1.1 and it cannot be updated to micro usb 2.0(since it requires a hardware update as per my friends).
I'm very dissappointed that nokia uses old outdated hardware for its phones. Even my 4 yr old nokia 5610 xpress music supported micro usb 2.0.
And is this support forum dead. I haven't got any replies(other than myself).

It's nice if you have successed to update software. I have same problem as you but I can't even update firmware. You are lucky man even ![]()
I've tried to upgrade firmqare via Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia Software Updater but same problem, always show after ~2 minutes that PC lost connection with device. I've tried it in several computers and different Windows but same problem.
I would add one more interesting thing, at official site there's written that firmware update is possible also directly via phone by using "Select Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone Updates." but my phone doesn't have that option. Also doesn't have :
"Set auto-check on in 30 seconds
1. Select Menu > Applications > SW Update
2. Select Options > Settings > Auto-check for updates
3. Select On and OK."
By the way, I wanted to update firmware because I loose all sms messages from every folder when I restart device and restoring to factory default doesn't help. Also USB works slow "Device can perform faster" but I thought it's normal.
Be happy that you, at least, successed to upgrade firmware ![]()

Well the reason that I updated firmware(to version 5.40) was to fix the "device can perform faster problem". Since its not corrected I just wasted my time updating it.
When I got the phone the firmware version was 4.13 I think and it didnt have that message disappearing problem. Probably it occurs in older versions of the firmware.
And also my phone has that option to update directly. Its located in Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone Updates
