Hi
I have had a nokia 5800 since january, It has been plagued with problems from day one, out of the 20 weeks i have had the phone it has been into the nokia repair centre for at least 9 of these 20 weeks. The problem i have at the moment is concerning the bluetooth connection to a headset, Whenever i connect the headset it will disconnect then reconnect after i make or receive a call, but when it reconnects it is not possible for the person on the other end of the call to hear what i am saying, i have to turn both the phone and the headset off then on again, if i am listening to music through the headset and receive a call it`s the same thing, i end up having to turn both off and call the caller back. has anybody had this problem ? and know of a solution.
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
ps forgot to menion i have the latest v21 firmware installed

Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you tried this with a different headset? Conversely, have you tried using your bluetooth headset with a different phone?

Hi Ravi
I have got 3 bluetooth headset (all stereo) 2 of them are bluetooth 2.0 and the other is bt 1.2, the only one that works on the 5800 is the one that is bt 1.2, and people say that there is a lot of interference on the line, but both the headsets with bt 2.0 have the same problem (disconnecting/reconnecting), all the three headsets work perfectly on my wife samsung tocco, also on my nokia 6630,
best regards

I recently bought a JVC KD-BT11 which has a similar connection issues as described with my Nokia 5800 (v25).
When I make a bluetooth connection between the phone and the JVC and use it as a handsfree speaker, after some call time (between 1-5 min), the audio quality will drop rapidly until the bluetooth disconnects. Once the bluetooth disconnects, I will not be able to reconnect between the JVC and the 5800 until I delete the pair on both devices and pair between them again. This is a highly annoying and cannot be done while driving!
I wonder if there is a way to force the 5800 to work in a compatibility mode (force BT1.2 only).
Maybe it is related to this discussion.

Hi, I'm also having the disconnect / reconnect problem with a Jabra BT135 headset, but I also use a bluetooth connection with my PC and the Nokia Suite software, but the connection doesn't drop!? Does anybody know the solution, software update?
Karlos.
