nokia 2730 classic, cannot connect to ovi store

I just bought a nokia 2730 classic with a data package from vodafone italia. Both email and browser access work just fine. However when I try to connect to the Ovi Store it fails and give me the error "To use the ovi store, you must be connected to the Internet. Please make sure that: 1. You have an active data plan for your mobile phone. 2. You are using an Internet/GPRS or WLAN access point to get Ovi Store connected. You can change the access point manually to Internet(GPRS) by going to phone's settings > Configuration > Preferred access point."

I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong but, 1. I have an active data plan and 2. under configuration settings, the preferred access point is set to "Internet da cellulare," which is the only choice that it gives.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Are you sure Vodafone allows you to use Ovi store?

Re: nokia 2730 classic, cannot connect to ovi store

I am not 100% sure, but it was listed as one of the features on the sign next to the phone in the display at the store. I would just go into the store and ask, but I bought it on a military base when a friend drove me out there. Its the only english speaking vodafone store around here, but it is difficult for me to get back to the base to ask.
