n8 loosing connection quite often when connected to laptop as a modem

I hope someone can help ive a n8 on the 3 network, when i use the phone as a modem on the laptop it connects great, but every now n again it keeps loosing the signal, this happens usually during the day time, i have to keep reconnecting the phone via usb cable, ive tried using the phone in conn to pc mode on the phone but it doesnt connect so i use it in nokia ovi suite mode, has anyone got any ideas on this problem cheers steve

did it work properly before????if it did then it is better to reset ur phone
