Well, my last suggestion would have been to bring the device in for hardware failure. It's rather sad, that a firmware update bricked your E63 WLAN. Keep me posted.

Actually, not quite. For, I had mentioned that it went for an OS upgrade. The part I hadn't mentioned is that it had been due to for the OS upgrade for a while but that got accelerated for another reason, my cell had a nice spin in a washing machine and had drunk a lot of water (I could manage to shrug away part of it). I was quite amazed they got it back to me for a small fee to repair and upgrade OS too, but I doubt they would have tested the WLAN connectivity. So, I would not like to be that unfair, after all, to the Nokia service centre guys.

Then they'll probably need to a place new motherboard whitch might not be worth the expenses.
