did always have my blutooth on, but just recently it has gone off, when i try to activate it, it just says unable 2 perform this operation, was told to use my disc that came with the phone 2 update software, unfortunatly this has not solved the problem, would really appreciate any feedback please, as it is doin my head in, thanks

Try to reset the phone. Type in the homescreen: 1)  *#7780# 12345 restore factory settings, keep data or 2)  *#7370# 12345 reformat, lose all data.

thx for your rapid reply, am doin as u have said, the option 1, but it is now asking 4 a lock code + i dont know wot that is, i have tried 0000 + 1234 but it is saying code error...

sorry 4 my last reply i didnt read it properly, have done 12345 for the lock code, unfortunatley it is still saying unable to perform...

Option 2 is more powerful, but you lose all data, so make a backup before except for the settings. Did you install the latest Nokia PCSuite? Use the Software Updater for the latest firmware.

I did hard reset + latest firmware reinstall, but I'm still getting the same problem. Could you please tell me what I may try next? I heard people at Nokia care were to moisturize the phone making it unusable, so I'm really confused if I should give it to them.

I have the same problem and have tried the same solutions to no effect. How is the thread listed as solved? Am I missing something because I didn't see the originator say anything about this issue being solved on his phone.

same story,reset don't work,reinstal software,no way,damage of softwer(S 60) probable by virus,unable detect with antivirus for windows,day before crash i tryed connect other symbian device with same problem, found next day on my 5800Xpm,radio,bluetooth dont' work anymore,let's nokia bring out secrets...nokia for ewer
