Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

I got the same error with my N73(ME) tried to install the drivers
from the N73 CD that came with the phone,i have also tried to install them from the bluetooth CD (my bluetooth dongle is MSI STAR KEY 2.0 (3x faster))I have installed the latest Vista drivers from the MSI site i also have the latest PC Suite
Also, when i try to connect my n73 via bluetooth (in PC suite)
i encounter another problem-my PC cannot accept the authentication code sent from N73
BTW,I have Windows Vista x64,so i guess i need x64 drivers
(i dont know who screwed up -Microsoft or Nokia),but the Microsoft support redirects me to Nokia
Also I have 32-bit XP on another partition,i have tried this on XP,and guess what-it works

Nokia please fix this problem, and give us some proper x64 bluetooth drivers.

hey, guys, I meet this prolem too. Here is a temporal solution:

turn off the Dial-up Networking service, please refer to the following pic for how to

In my t60 with vista business, this method works. No annoying notification and question mark in device manager any more.

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

Nothing seems to work.

I have N95 8Gb and Vista Ultimate, get 4 of these devices which cannot be installed.

If I want to send to my PC I have to reuest a file first on the PC before sending Via Bluetooth, thats never happened before I got my N95.

Nokia need to support its users, esp when we pay nearly £500 for their phones!!!
Blah!

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

Same problem here.

Vista x64, Microsoft Bluetooth Stack, latest PC Suite on a N73.

I did a clean system install yesterday and it STILL doesn't work. All it says is that it needs drivers for everything, drivers it can't find - and - I can't synchronise over bluetooth which is all I want to be able to do!

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

OK, someone said the latest version of PC suite was not so good so i uninstalled it and installed 6.83 75.3 and hey presto all worked out fine. The latest version sent my Bluetooth stack on another laptop into meltdown too. Did Microsoft buy Nokia recently ?

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

Guys,

Nokia Suite used with a cable seems to be absolutely fine. Having done the steps below I can still Sync, browse my phone, send SMS, etc via Bluetooth connection.

I have done two things to make sure that the driver prompts don't come up:

1. In the properties for the phone as a Bluetooth device, disable Dial up working (DUN), OBEX PC Suite services and the Imaging Responder.

2. In the computer device manager when you open it up you should see the 3 or 4 Bluetooth Peripheral Devices which are asking for drivers. Right-click on each and disable them.

No more annoying messages. Not ideal but it is effective!

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

The services to remove are:

Nokia OBEX PC Suite Services
Nokia SyncML Server
SyncML DM Client

Then the three unknown devices will disappear!

This differs from the above post slightly

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

"The services to remove are:

Nokia SyncML Server
SyncML DM Client"

Should I understand that these services are not needed in any possible scenario?

At any rate, what I can say is that my N95 BT connection works fine even with those three non-installed drivers, at least with respect to those features that I used so far. On the other hand, installing N95 BT drivers *does* screw up the *rest* of my BT environment: I experience, for example, intermittent reception on my BT stereo headphones.

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

I solved this same problem simply by reinstalling the drivers for the integrated wireless/bluetooth device for my machine.  In this case a Compaq 6910p Laptop. (sp38167.exe)

It installed two devices under "Sound, Video and game Controllers" in computer management.:

Bluetooth Hands-free Audio

Bluetooth Stereo Audio

It seems they were not installed/needed until I tried to connect a bluetooth device, i.e my nokia phone.

I hope this helps.

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

I had the same problem as yours, I noticed that after I turned-OFF and turned-it-ON again my Blutetooth switch, that's when I started to receive the error, what I did is I just disable the other devices which you will find on the device manager. All you have to do is to disable all the subcategories on the other devices, and wholah after that I was able to connect again to my NOKIA phone smoothly.

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

I have had the same problem but i solved it installing BTW_Foxconn_6.0.1.4900_Vistax86 drivers. I have Acer Ferrari 1100 and Nokia E71.

All three peripheral devices become Hansd free audio device (2) & remote control device.

I hope it will be usefull.

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

When you add new bluetooth device from the control panel.  Vista will not locate the driver correctly.  There is a few method which we can solve the problems.

1) Go to Network and Sharing Center

2) At the Network and Sharing Center. Press Manage Network connections at the task bar from the left of the screen,

3) You will see Bluetooth Network connection there. Right click your mouse over the icon (Bluetooth Network Connection). Choose View Bluetooth Network Devices

4) Add and pair your Nokia device between.

Vista will install the drive.

Alternative you can do as follows:-

Actually Bluetooth Peripheral Device is belong to Bluetooth virtual Device/ Basic Print Profile.

All you have to do is to manual add new hardware. Choose Bluetooth virtual device > Bluetooth BBP.

However, you need to made connectionfrom BluetoothNetwork Connection->View Bluetooth Network Devices

Re: Vista was unable to install your Bluetooth peripheral device

O.K, here's what I did, I had the same problem with my nokia 2600 classic, I went to control panel and open the NOKIA CONNECTION MANAGER and selected the Nokia BLUETOOTH , and closed the pc suite then went into settings of NOKIA CONNECTION MANAGER OF BLUETOOTH and wait for connection to be made , open my mycomputer explorer and it detected the phone , then restarted the same latest version and boom, it detected the phone as a proof, I attached the pic, try this h t t p : / / i 45.tinypic.com/nquzag.jpg , I hope it will work! enjoy:smileyvery-happy:
