Title says it all.

Bought a DKU-2 cable yesterday, downloaded PC Suite and have been trying to connect ever since then.

It seems that this is a common problem, I get the USB error too.

So how do I resolve this?

You've got the wrong cable. 7250i uses the DKU-5 so DKU-2 doesn't work at all. I hope you can take it back to the store - did they tell you it would be compatible?

And when you get the DKU-5, you need to install its driver first as they are not included in PC Suite.

please check that your operating system is compatable with the DKU-5 cable before you waste more money.

i have been unfortunate enough to purchase the correct cable DKU-2 for my 6230 at a cost of £20 only to find that the driver for the cable is not supported by windows ME

Thanks, I will check all this out, not very happy about the store telling me that the DKU-2 was compatible.

I'm still using windows 98 (I know, an old phone & computer!), where would I get the driver for the 7250i (at least I have the right cable, dku-5, right?).

If you can't tell from this I am a bit of a technical idiot so may I ask you to spell it out... I am that bad at this type of thing

Thanks very much for this but I dont seem to have a link on the web page for downloading the driver ... there is a link for my version of PC suite, does that mean I dont need a separate driver?

Yes, this IS confusing:
DKU-5 is an old cable and the driver has never been integrated to Nokia PC Suite.

So yes, you need to install DKU-5 driver separately.

Nokia PC Suite includes:
- driver for DKU-2 and its newer version CA-53, both technically identical, "true USB cables"
- driver for CA-42, which is the new version of DKU-5. Both cables are actually "serial port to usb emulators". (phone wants to connect to PC as serial port device, but it does that through physical USB port)

I have a nokia 3230 and recently bought a the data cable for it.I have installed the latest version of the pc suite from the nokia website which has the cable connectivity drivers but the drivers does not install further when I connect the phone to my pc it says enhancement not supported.what could be done, please suggest?I appreciate ur effort
