I understand from browsing various discussion forums and the iTech FAQ that although the N70 does not support A2DP it is possible to listen to Mp3's through wireless Bluetooth headsets if you play music through the MSI BluePlayer software?
_
I have iTech BlueBand headset, which I have paired to a Nokia N70 v2.0537.1.7 18-09-05 RM-84, on which I have installed MSI BluePlayer MSI_SDK20_060822.SIS
_
The device pairs and connects fine -I can make and receive calls through the headset. However when I attempt to play a 128kbps mp3 file using BluePlayer I get the error message "Remote device does not support mp3".
_
Has anyone managed to get BluePlayer working on an N70 with iTech's BlueBand Bluetooth stereo headset? If so could you provide instructions on how this was achieved?

Many thanks in advance.

I wrote to the N97 Support team. Here is their less than supportive response...
"Nokia does not guarantee that there handsets connect to every bluetooth device, apart from there own."
(Their spelling mistake, not mine)
Funny thing is that there are a pair of Nokia BT stereo headphones that are compatible with the N97 that look exactly like my BlueBands except for the fact they're white and have Nokia on them. Did Nokia do a deal with iTech? Why should equipment conforming to the same specs not be compatible unless there's a deliberate effort? Or have I been watching too much Spooks...?
