Ive been going crazy trying to connect my 5800 via usb to my laptop (vista). When i connect via bluetooth its fine but usb simply wont install drivers. says that i am missing phone parent . i have tried everything i have read e.g unistalling everthing and using pc suite cleaner and then re installing pc suite 7.1, removing wdfo1000.sys file form system 32 folder and placing on desktop.  Ovi suite wont connect either because of the driver problem. i am connecting in pc suite mode. i need the usb as bluetooth is too slow. please help

Sorry, I do not have an answer, and because I do not know how to start a 'new topic' on the discussion board, I would like to ask my question here:

My ovi nokia suite takes aboutbtween 1 and 2 minutes to open, after I have clicked on it for the first time.  My previous nokia suite (E70) opened immediately.  Does anyone have the same 'problem', or is it just something I must get used to ? 

ps. my PC is not the fastest, but it is not slow either, I have no problems opening other programs on my PC, therefore it must be something with ovi suite itself. 

Any suggestions to open it quicker ?

ps. I know it is not a nokia question, but can anyone recommend any PC cleanup (anti-virus) programs ?

I don't have an answer for your main question because I don't actually use Windows on my PCs, but I can help you with new topics.

You simply navigate to the board related to your problem (in your case that would be the "PC and Mac software" board, not the "Connectivity" board).

You then click on the big blue button near the top that says "Start a new topic".
