My N95 and PC Suite sync'ed perfectly, then came Ovi. What a pain, however I got used to it.
In the last week I have installed the latest bug fix for Ovi Suite. Now my phone will not sync. Ovi suite sees the phone, and I can message etc from my PC keyboard, but Ovi suite just sits inert when asked to sync. It shows in the various boxes "waiting to sync" but just does nothing and frquently hangs.
Any solution?

I have exact the same problem with my N900.
Since the automatic update to the latest Ovi Suite last night.
There is no sync at all. JUST "Waiting for Syncing . . ."
Where can I download the last Version, before the update from last night?
Thank you

I do have the same problem. My Nokia 5230 connected through Bluetooth is not syncing anymore. If I try to force it manualy by selecting the "all" options in the synch menu, the system seems to wait forever to sync. The options on the synch menu path are greyed out. The workaround I have found is to close the application, start again, go to the synch option screen and select one of the items to synch (e.g. in my case agenda and tasks). After this, the synch does start for the selected option. When finished, you can use the "synch all" option without any problem. After this, the OVI suite is running as it should do for the synch process. Hope this helps. Anyway this is only a workaround and Nokia should fix this ASAP!

I am using N97 and have the same problem after updating the Ovi Suite to 2.2.1.23. The method taught worked. Thanks ![]()

I have the same problem, but only since I upgraded to the latest version(2.2.1.23). Forcing ovi suite to sync will cause it to display 'waiting to be synced' forever, right in the beginning when you start the program you can also notice a message 'sync cancelled'. I also use a 5320 via bluetooth.
PLEASE ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM NOW!

Same here with C6. I've got CONTACTS, CALENDAR/TASKS and NOTES set up to be synced.
When I do "sync all" button next to device icon or "sync-sync now-all" from dropdown menu OVI suite gets stuck on "waiting to be synced".
If I do i.e. "sync-sync now-contacts" it goes well. After that SYNC ALL goes thru without problems.

Same problem, Nokia N97, Outlook 64-bit and new 2.2.23 version. Syncing does not work.

And in my case, just reinstalling with repair did fix the problem with Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23. Now syncing works ok again with Outlook 2010 64-bit.

I did the mistake of upgrading Ovi to the lastest release.
The repair and the desintallation with complete package from nokia (nokia care process) did not solve this issue. Ovi suite just crashed every time I am opening it on my PC (win 7 64 bits, outlook 2010) even not trying to sync !!!!!
I did a complete format of my PC few weeks ago already and I am really feed up with nokia now .
I guess this will the end of our relationship.

I have an issue with C6-00 and Ovi Suite. Computer is running XP Professional 32 bits and Outlook 2003. Ovi Suite works otherwise ok, but as soon as I try to set Outlook as the application to sync with, it crashes
Nokia Care could not help. They sent detailed instructions on how to reinstall the Ovi Suite. Didn't change a thing. Could anyone help?

You are lucky. I have Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23 and whatever I do to sync contacts, it starts a few seconds and then crashes. Note: I am using Microsoft Outlook Express on Windows XP.
The other features work well, though for maps I prefer Garmin.
For example, the city where I live is not in Ovi maps.
