Nokia e51 loses wlan connectivity if "Web" application is closed

Hi all,

I want to use a couple of Nokia e51 with our enterprise Cisco Call Manager 4.2.3. So I installed the latest Nokia ICC client on the phones.

The real problem in my scenario is that the Nokia phones lose wlan connectivity if the web browser is closed. In fact, I can ping them only when they are used to browse the web. As soon as the browser is closed, the connection is lost and, obviously, the connection to the Call Manager fails.

I'm quite sure that the wlan configuration on the e51 is fine (access point, wpa psk, proxy, etc.), otherwise the web browsing would be impossible.

How can I fix this strange behaviour?

Thank you - Kind Regards

Daniele

Re: Nokia e51 loses wlan connectivity if "Web" application is closed

Hello,

So you are registered to CCM (SCCP profile is active and you can make calls) before you close the web browser?

Re: Nokia e51 loses wlan connectivity if "Web" application is closed

@Pasi: no I could not register to CCM because the wlan connectivity was absent.

Now the problem is solved, probably it was a configuration error on the CCM side...I set the phone type to 7960, but the right choice is 7970. With this correction, the connection to the CCM works and the waln connectivity is always up (I set also "Registration always Active" in the Internet Phone options).
