Please help me mergency. i can use the internet on my operator, but when i wanna connect wia WLAN, i can not connect to any website from my N96 in my house!!!! what can i do??? ((

We need more information. Please describe in more detail what happens when you try to connect to your wlan at home.

i search the wi-fi. than N96 find all the wi-fi. i choose my own modem at my home, then the device connect to my network. after this, wlan connection symbol is shown on the right side of my handset. after this i go to "web". i wanna go a web site. when i write any site, instead of my WLAN connection, it try to go that site but after 15 seconds it says "NO GATEWAY REPLY"! So i can not use the wlan. i' m so sad about this. please help me....

What router do you have? Have you checked for software updates for your router? Do you have WEP or WPA encryption on your wlan? Have you MAC address filtering enabled on your router?

i have adsl. zyxel modem. and in my connection, there is a wpa encryption. but when i chose the Wlan, i wrote the code correctly. after that, it says " it's connected". then i go to "web". what happens after that, i tell you in the messega above. try to go a site, then " No gatewat reply"...  i m so bored...

Do you know if MAC address filtering is enabled? If it is then you have to add the MAC address of your phone to the list. Also change the channels setting on your router around to see if it works on another channel.

After that you can also try the following:

On your pc/laptop, click on Start>Run and type ipconfig/all and note the settings for:

1. Subnet Mask

2. Default Gateway

3. DNS Servers


Now, on your Phone settings: Goto Menu>tools>settings>connection>access points

Select your WLAN access point and go to Advanced settings:

IPv4 settings:

For phone IP address: Start with the Default Gateway IP and change the last number to something else.
For Subnet mask and Default gateway use the same as on PC
For DNS address: Change to user defined and enter same settings as on PC

there is no  power saving in the advanced settings of WLAN!!! i cant use WLAN of my N96. i love this phone. but i' m so sad because of this problem. (   i bought it 5  days ago. can i solve this problem,can't i?  ((

Then the only other thing I can suggest is to check for router firnware updates and install if there is one available.

i couldn't solve this problem. but i didn't disappoint. i ll try to connect with WLAN on my handset from my university. may be i will succeed...

Another thing worth trying just to see is to disable thw WPA encryption on the router and see if it connects without encryption.

all the same .  i tried WLAN in my friends house.  in there i can connect without any problem. but after that i was so glad. then i came to home and tried it again at home  but all the same. i can not use the WLAN. luckily i use it once. but now, nothing...
