Hi, i am from Nepal. I just bought Nokia N8 and after few days i found that it is not receiving imcoming call from Land lines. My N8 can make calls and receive mobile calls but CANNOT receive land line incoming call.
I know this problem is specifically related to N8 set, because i put my same sim to another moble set and it was functioning well. How should i fix this problem???

Deactivate all call barring in phone settings.

I tried that, it did not work. First there is no call barring facility provided by network service provider.
i checked the statues of call barring from my set, it say barring is NOT activate, and even when i try to deactivate all call barring i could not do it because it asks for barring password and it is not provided by network service provider (there is no such facility here). I tried obvious passwords like 1234, 4567, 1111, 0000, non of them worked.
Is it really due to call barring??

If call barring is not active, the problems is something else. To be honest, I've never heard of this issue before. There is no logical reason other than operator network issues. You could ask for a new SIM card. Is your N8 set to dual mode (3G+GSM)?

Yes, it is set to dual mode. How could it be operator network issues ?? i checked with two sims, my n8 did not receive incoming call from Land line with both sims, but same sims received incoming call from land lines when i put in other nokia set. But my N8 do receive mobile calls and messages without problem.
And i hear other N8 users are also having this same problem..

Thanks for the link, aspergerguy. It's quite an annoying issue. I wonder if it's only limited to Nokia phones though. Anyway, there's no solution.
