Hello , i just got my E6 today and i can't turn the wlan off ... keeps refreshing by itself.I'vd read about the same issuses at others models but still i can't figure it out so i might get a tip/trick.

Only installed ovi maps on my device and the rest is "stock" ... so any suggestions please?

Now i haven't used Anna yet BUT i would think the option to turn off wlan scanning is under settings connectivity and wlan and you could change it from auto to manual or turn scanning off. Something equating to the same thing I guess. Hope this helps, when i get hold of an Anna device ill check back with you.

hey , sorry for the delay , haven't spent too much time at home
thought i managed it but then i realized something was still using the 3g connection so today i hope i'll work it out and solve this minor issue.Anyhow you were right about some settings in the "connectivity" area

you have to close all apps that are using Wlan..and turn the Wlanscanner off.

Hello,

I am also a new Anna-user with the same problems. I was very dissapointed from the battery life. I wasn't expecting it to last for a month as nokia promised but i thought 4 days should be normal. So i tried to optimize it a little and i saw it kept connecting to my home wifi. I turned scanning off and everything is set to manual. I loged off from facebook and turned whatsapp off, It still keeps doing that and the only thing that remains is the email. However i can't seem to adjust it to manualy check the mail. I can't seem to find the option. I tried adjusting it to only check the email monday from 8am untill 8:15 BUT IT KEEPS CHECHING IT ALL THE TIME and for that- connecting to wifi! Can somebody maybe tell me some solution to the problem? Maybe some registry adjustments or something like that.

Just got my phone through work yesterday. This was the first issue that really started bugging me. As soon as I got home where I have wlan, I started to set up my social networking widget. It's when I did this the wlan bug started occuring. It keeps trying to connect and while doing this the phone semi-locks itself. Really annoying with the flashing symbol flipping out in the top left corner telling me it can't connect. I tried setting my wlan to manual, but this didn't work either. Not before I removed the social widget all together did it subside. Hope fully this will go away when I get my unlimited dataplan sim card from my new job, but still.....THIS IS AN ISSUE WHICH NOKIA REALLY NEED TO FIX. These are really stupid bugs that should've been ironed out. I mean....aren't these things tested??

Mail > setting > choose ur mail > autp retroeval > retraieval frequency make it every 12 hours or the most suitable time

Had the same problem with Wifi that kept refreshin' automatically
After hours of searching I finally found it!!
-> go to connections > settings > Destinations > change the priority, so your wifi to priority 2 and internet (3g) to priority 1 (make sure you are not connected with wifi that moment, if you switch off your wifi and then quickly change these settings it will work, you cannot change the priority of your wifi when you're connected to it)
-> then you're 3g has priority 1 -> just change the settings of your packetconnections (explaind in the user guide) if you also don't want your E6 to automatically connect with 3g
