Had this problem after updating my firmware to the latest. Now I'm regretting that I updated it coz I even saw my phone died for the first time. Now it says invalid server name... Sometimes i can connect to the wifi but only in 1 minute then it disconnects and says invalid server name again. Please help me...

Re: Nokia 5800 Xm WLAN connection problem after update: "Invalid Server Name"

Although it would entail backing up essential data first, have you considered a hard reset by keying in *#7370# on dialler followed by 12345 (default Nokia lockcode) unless altered by yourself in case corrupt data entries have been carried over by UDP = User Data Preservation feature of your 5800XM?

If I've helped in any way, a click upon the white star at bottom right of screen would always be appreciated.

However if my answer also solves your problem clickingbelow it will benefit other users!

Re: Nokia 5800 Xm WLAN connection problem after update: "Invalid Server Name"

oh yeah i've tried that. After I found out that my Music Player bug didn't wear off after updating my firmware to the latest version, i decided to hard reset (GREEN+RED+CAMERA) my phone and also soft reset. My files were deleted but i made a backup to my computer and installed my applications again. Then after that, i've tried connecting to my wlan and it says invalid server name which was caused by the firmware update...

Any more ideas?

Restore backup without settings and clean out browser privacy data. Check router or accesspoint DNS server settings.
