I'm using nokia 5130 express music.I am having difficulty using my cell as a modem. I have already installed nokia pc suite 7.1 in my pc and then in the process of installation the pc suite software tells to connect the phone with the help of USB.But the software doesn't get my phone though i choose pc suite from my phone.but it's connected if i use printing and media or data storage from my phone.what shall i do?

There are some issues with Vista. Try uninstalling with Nokia PCSuite cleaner. Reinstall, start the program and THEN connect using the general mode (online) of your phone.

Thanx for your comment.But,actually i am using windows XP.I reinstalled my pc suite many times but it isn't still working.whenever, i open the pc suite software and click to connect to internet then it shows that no modems found.what shall i do?shall i try to use a bluetooth connector?

im running Vista Ultimate & ive the same driver problem, its detects it but when asking 2unstal the driver it said

"Windows encontered a problem installing the driver software for your device"

knowing that the windows knows that the device is  "Nokia 5130 XPressMusic USB Phone parent"

by the way im using the last Nokia Pc Suite version!!

i did what u said about re-installing the pc suite then connecting n general mode but the problem apears again??

what should i do??

I had problems using phone as modem too, but i got it to work using the following steps:-

1.Connect phone with cable,/buletooth/IR as instructed. 

2.Make connection to Internet on phone. 

3Click to "connect to the internet' on PC Suite.

4. Click on 'configure' button on 'one touch access' window.

5 Modem should be selected, click next.

6 Select 'configure connection manually' radio button

7 Click next

8 In 'Access Point' field type info (mine was the word 'internet') as is set on your phone in GRPS>Modem settings> Active Access Point.

9 Leave other three fields empty.

10 Close 'one touch access' window

11 Reconnect to modem by clicking on the 'connect to internet' on the PC Suite Main window.

I have also the same problem. I am currently using nokia 5130 Xpress music. After installing nokia pc suite it says that there are problems in installing modem driver. It says that there is some service error in modem.inf.Please help as soon as possible.Thanks in advance.
