Re: Nokia 2626 connect to pc

Cable supported by 2626 is CA-45.
Third party softwares are:
MobiMB Mobile Media Browser - for accessing whole gallery of 2626
Mobius Phone Explorer - for data backups.

These softwares are available while purchasing the cable. Everything worked for me.

Re: Nokia 2626 connect to pc

Which operating system are you using for this software. I tried to install them on Vista, but it didn't work. I suppose the programs are made for Windows XP. Has anybody found any drivers or software that is working on Vista?

Re: Nokia 2626 connect to pc

There is no official USB connectivity for the 2626: http://www.forum.nokia.com/devices/2626

The software mentioned above is unofficial and not sanctioned by Nokia. Its use may cause damage to your phone and will invalidate the warranty.

[ Edited ]
I am completely aware of that. I have this phone for more than a year and the warranty already expired. I just want to know if anybody has connected his/her phone to a computer running with Windows Vista. I do not want to buy another phone just for some mp3s and photoes. Nokia 2626 phones have ports for data cables. There's no sense in manufacturing phones with data cable ports unless thy can be connected to a PC. So there must be a way to connect the phone to a PC and transfer data.

Anyway, thank you for the information!

Re: Nokia 2626 connect to pc

The data connection on the 2626 is for use only by Nokia service centres, not by the end-user.

Also, your warranty is irrelevant here. What is not allowed here is describing techniques that will void anyone's warranty.

Thirdly, if you're in the E.U. the warranty is 2 years, not 1, meaning that your warranty has not expired.

Re: Nokia 2626 connect to pc

A true dilemma: with mobiMB Media Browser used with CA-45 (FBUS cable), Prolific USB-to-serial bridge driver, the software recognize my nokia 2626. But. With all other applications I tried, combined with the same CA-45 cable, my phone is not recognized. My goal: I want to use it with frontlinesms, which mention compatibility on their website. What solutions ? Thank you for any kind of help. It's really very urgent.

Try reading the rest of this thread before posting.

Any user-level USB connectivity with the 2626 is not sanctioned by Nokia, will void your warranty and must therefore not be discussed here.
