N85 Stereo Bluetooth Failure

Add me to the list of unhappy N85 buyers who tried to use a Stereo Bluetooth headset to listen to recorded or streaming audio - and gave up.  The N85 is sold as a "media phone" but does not provide a listenable connection to Stereo Bluetooth headsets.  I tried thre (Nokia, Sony and Motorola) "active" headsets.  On all of them the sound kept popping in and out, either rapidly (like throwing a switch on and off over and over) or a complete loss of sound for several seconds.

This is Nokia"s board.  Are you all listening?  Lots of problems reported here (and on other boards) with Bluetooth. How about a real response to those of us who shelled out big bucks for an unsubsidized phone?  Can this be fixed with a software or firmware update (and will it be)?  Are there any really compatible Stereo Bluetooth headsets (or will there be) for N85 users?

The N85 has some great features and it's a shame Nokia let its customers down like this.

Re: N85 Stereo Bluetooth Failure

Hi emacee,

Nokia will most likely not be listening on this board - this is a user-to-user forum, and Nokia's only involvement is via Moderators and occasionally employees offering assistance. Click the Contact Us link and lodge a formal complaint. You may not get a reasonable response, but if every disgruntled user lodged a complaint, Nokia may eventually take notice.

Don't shoot the messenger, just telling it like it is....

Cheers,

Re: N85 Stereo Bluetooth Failure

Travia:  Thanks for your reply.  You may well be right.  Nokia seems to have shut themselves off from all other forms of voluntary user feedback.  On the US site, the only way to contact them is to call a tech support number.  Not a good sign.  My experience with technology companies leads me to expect layers of voice menus and long wait times before somebody comes on who will only read me what's in the manual (and won't relay anything I say upstairs).  There is a lot of useful customer info and ideas floating around boards like this.  I was hoping Nokia would show some smarts and make a point to track it.
