Everytime I plug my Cable, a message appears that says, USB devides attach has malfunctioned and the Windows cannot recognize it.

PLEASE HELP ME REGARDING THIS MATTER. Thanks.

Always mention ur PC Suite Version and what OS ur using with what mode ur using to connect with ur pc(USB Cable, Bluetooth)

Solution for the problem:

First get the file "PC Suite Cleaner" from Nokia WebSite http://www.nokia.co.in/nokia/0,8764,87111,00.html#.

Next go to Add/Remove programs from Control Panel and remove Nokia PC Suite. After uninstalling Nokia PC Suite, if u found Nokia Cable Driver or Nokia Connectivity Solution also remove the same. Now run PC Suite Cleaner and select from combo bar "Clean my computer", that will wipe of reg. frm ur pc.

Now install a fresh PC Suite (Latest from Nokia WebSite) and connect ur Mobile with USB, and u will find ur mobile has been connected (Wait 4 some time till the drivers get installed automatically) to PC Suite.

A advice (Which worked for me). Use the USB cable of ur mobile in a single USB port, and use the same USB port whenever u use to connect ur mobile. Preferable, don't use any other device with that USB port.

I'm enjoying with PC Suite now with this and defused the problem.

Try it. If u still have problems i'll get the solution for u.

I find I get this error if I use a certain USB port on my PC. The same port works fine with my PDA but I always get a driver error with my phone.

The phone works perfectly in the port below it.

Use a Separate USB port for connecting Mobile and don't use any other Device in that USB port. Because it conflicts with others.

What means the phone works perfectly in the port below it. sorry i couldn't get it.

My computer doesn`t even find my phone when i plug my USB cable, I have Nokia 6070. Ihave instaled all necesery software, drivers and PC suite but still I can`t find my phone.

Pls provide with the details of PC Suite Version, OS, SP, what type of cable. And what kind of message u get when connecting ur mobile with PC Suite.

I tried everything you indicated with my Nokia 6070. The latest PC Suite version, uninstalled everything, installed the latest cable driver only. Still, my device manager in XP SP2, indicated USB to Serial not installed and is in yellow. Can't update drivers, when cell phone connected, it just won't recognize it. I even found other forums with other drivers and the suggestion to uninstall PC Suite and install Mobile Phone Software(any one of them) and install a hack C-42 driver(pl-2303). Nothing works, on any of my 6 USB ports. Please help. I am at wits end. Thanks

Hi I am also having the same problem with the same cable.
I have tried everything and would like some help with this.
my phone is a 7260 and everything else is the same as the previous person.

If you both have CA-42 as non-genuine Nokia cable, it may be that te cable is simply faulty and you should return it and claim your money back.

With Nokia PC Suite and Nokia cables it is not necessary to install any cable drivers separately, everything is included in Nokia PC Suite package and install and uninstalling separate driver software before or after the Nokia PC Suite installating just may confuse the PC setup and contribute to the malfunctioning.

So please uninstall all Nokia softwate and the driver software, boot PC, run the pC Suite cleaner from www.nokia.com/pcsuite - support (run all alterntives).

Boot PC.

Download and SAVE the latest PC Suite from pc suite web-pages , run the program ONLY attach the cable when PC Suite is asking you to do that, make sure the Phone screen is accepting the cable (it shold indicate a sentence that says "assessory attached" or something and/or it may ask you to choose the right mode for the connection, if the phone is non responsive or even says "data enhancement not supported", then you have a problem with the cable

i have recently got a nokia 6070 and i downloaded the recent pc suite from the nokia website, but when i connect my USb cable from my phone to my computer a message box appears down the bottom right-hand side of my screen that sais USB Device Not Recognized and it sais that the USB cable has malfunctioned, i have done everything you said to the last person but it still sais the same thing, and i have even tried to use both of the USB slots at the front of my computer but the same thing keeps coming up.

I have a new Nokia 6070 & have just bought a CA42 cable. Whenever I plug it into the phone I get the message "enhancement not supported". Does this definitely there is something wrong with the cable? The shop I bought it from insists it's Nokia cable & should work fine.
