Internet charge from Virgin even though only using my home wifi

Hi, wondered if anyone could help - I have a new pay monthly sim with Virgin, since getting this they have been charging me 50p per day for using the internet, even though I have only used my own wifi (and even on some occasions not even connected).  I can access my wifi without my sim card and wondered if there's a way I can set it up so it doesn't use my sim to gain access.  Thanks in advance.

On what phone? Set packet-data connection to if needed. Set all apps that need a connection to your WLAN accesspoint.
